Celle Ligure is crossed by the LIGURIAN TRAIL stage 17 that goes from Varazze to Albisola in trails that connect Pecorile hamplet to Sanda.
In Pecorile it is possible to visit the characteristic chapel dedicated to S. Isidoro and Our Lady of the Guard. The chapel stands among the olive trees that characterize the landscape of the hills surrounding Celle Ligure. The building has a single nave and a small bell tower on the right side. The facade is decorated with a beautiful painting of Our Lady of the Guard and the whole building is colored with a typically Ligurian bright pink. Moreover, in Pecorile near Via Siri, it is possible to visit the birthplace of Francesco della Rovere, who became pope in 1471 with the name of Sisto IV.
Another hamlet crossed by the LIGURIA TRAIL is Sanda. Near the seventeenth-century Church of San Giorgio, which among other things preserves a painting by Paolo Gerolamo Brusco from Savona, take the dirt path that climbs towards Torre Bregalla and Case Lassea. This section of the Liguria Trail winds through a botanical path, along which various information panels are placed on the main species of the Mediterranean scrub.
